The Role

As an Analytics Engineer you will build a solid and scalable data infrastructure and analytical environment. You’ll be joining the recently created Data Team and be part of the creation and development of Holded’s data system. From managing dashboards, to creating ETL pipelines and optimizing processes, you’ll assist the team with your knowledge and allow the company to scale. But most importantly, we are looking for someone willing to disrupt the ERP industry by offering a world-class product in a data-driven company.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Working together with the analytics team on defining and improving the scalability of our current Data Warehouse
  • Write production-quality ELT code with an eye towards performance and maintainability
  • Coach analysts and data scientists on software engineering best practices (e.g., building testing suites and CI pipelines)
  • Build software tools that help data scientists and analysts work more efficiently (e.g., writing tooling for analysts to use)
  • Collaborate with data engineers on infrastructure projects (where they advocate for and emphasize the business value of applications)
  • Organizing and transforming the data in a meaningful way and providing additional context as necessary so that it is ready for analysis
  • Creating and optimizing data pipelines based on the needs of the Data Analysts
  • Integrating 3rd party data sources using APIs
  • Assisting the analytics team with the implementation of data visualizations
  • Look for new ways of collecting and storing data
  • Championing a healthy data culture and encourage & promote data-driven decision making throughout the organization


About you

  • You have more than 3 years of experience working as part of a data team; preferably as either a data analyst or data engineer
  • You are a SQL whiz! You know how to write SQL which is easy to understand, simple to troubleshoot and that is highly performant
  • You have mastered a programming languages such as Python
  • You are comfortable adopting software engineering best practices like version control, testing, etc… You also feel comfortable teaching others how to adopt these best practices
  • You are able to build and maintain multi-functional relationships with various teams across the business
  • You're an ace at data modeling, used to designing and implementing complex architectures with a constant eye on their future evolution while taking into account the needs of multiple users
  • Performing ad-hoc queries, data insights and building internal tools to support our Marketing, Finance and Customer Success teams
  • Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker, Tableau or QlikView
  • Fluent in English.
